acrylic on canvas murals watercolors oil pastels drawings from my sketchbooks
My work deals with uncertainty, quiet anxiety.
Looking in, or looking out?
Watching, or being watched?

These works are about loss - physical and emotional.
One can’t go back; but one never forgets. That’s loss.

My work is also just as importantly about light - the emotional quality given by the light of a certain time of day or night, season or weather. The effect of light on color, shadow and depth. How it makes us feel, what it makes us recall.

Light and color tell a story, always. Light and color are emotion.
